greetings from the Learning Group 7 in East Frisia!
In our English course, we are learning about our Tea-tradition.That is why we would like to explain to you how people in East Frisia really drink tea.
- First, we put a piece of rock sugar, called Kluntje, into a small tea cup.
- Then we pour hot black tea over it.
- After that, we carefully add a little cream. The cream looks like a small cloud in the tea.
- Very important: we do not stir the tea!
- This way, you can taste the cream, the strong tea, and finally the sweet sugar at the bottom of the cup.
Tea drinking is very important in East Frisia. Families and friends often sit together, drink tea, eat cake, and talk for a long time.
